ILLUSION IS MINE | I HEAR YOUR SORROW

My name is Ashley, and I love music, reading, and art. I'm illusionismine on LJ. I'm a graduate from the Art Institute of Dallas with a degree in Media Arts & Animation. I'm currently searching for a job in my field, and working at an office job to pay the bills. Some of the things I enjoy include but are not limited to; Music (tons of it), Sci-Fi books, Anime, Horror films, Horror Novels, Foreign films, J-Rock, K-pop, and a bunch of other things. I listen to music from various genres and languages, but my favorite genres are Post-Punk, Gothic Metal, and Alternative Rock. I'm also a sucker for 80's music in general, and classic films especially horror films. I've been playing bass guitar since I was 15 years old, and I was in a metal band in high-school. I've recently started teaching myself guitar in my spare time. Some of my favorite bands are Black Sabbath, Type O Negative, Lacuna Coil, Paradise Lost, Boris, Deftones, Katatonia, Kittie, Killing Joke, Within Temptation, The 69 Eyes, Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, Buck-Tick, Dir en grey, Luna Sea, Lillies and Remains, Ogre you Asshole, Art-School, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, Interpol, Joy Division, The Sisters of Mercy, The Chameleons, and Depeche Mode to name a few. I'm an open-minded, blunt, honest, and easy going person. I'm also a great listener or so I've been told by friends. I used to frequent livejournal, but since the fallout (or whatever it was) that happened there I decided to start a dreamwidth account.
