This week has been, well rather interesting actually.  My coworker has been talking to me about a guy friend of hers and she’s convinced that we’re perfect for each other.  Well I started texting him today, and it turns out we have a shit-load things in common.  It really took me by surprise actually.  He’s actually a huge anime fan which is cool.  I’m just hoping that we have some other things in common, and that when we actually meet it will turn out well.  If nothing else comes out of it we might end up being good friends who knows.  I’m trying to keep an open mind about it.  Honestly, I hate being set up but this time it actually seems like it could possibly work out, who knows?

On another note the Lacuna Coil concert is this coming Saturday!  I’m super excited since Christina Scabbia (singer) has been posting non-stop on twitter/facebook about the tour.  I keep hearing good things about the shows so I’m really looking forward to it.  I’m going with my niece since my friend wasn't able to take off work.  My niece joked that she’ll need to bring some earplugs (she doesn't listen to any type of rock music so…lol.)

As for music I've been listening to a little bit of everything.  As far as Kpop goes I’ve been jamming to B.A.P’s newest album.  I really dig it a lot, and I love all the songs on the album.  Also an album that surprised me was the new 2NE1 album!  OMFG that album good!  And I say this as someone who was initially indifferent to 2NE1, and their music mostly.  It’s easily one of my favorite Kpop releases for this year.  I have Nell’s new album on my iTunes but haven’t listened to it yet.  I need to get on that.

Come back home... )

In terms of other music I’ve been listening to old-school industrial stuff like: Coil, Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Skinny Puppy, as well as more recent Industrial stuff like Front Line Assembly, and NIN.  I really really like Coil.  Their music has such an eerie, and ominous atmosphere, and the how they create sound is something I find really intriguing.  I really dig Skinny Puppy too mainly for the songs “Dig It”, “Assimilate”, “Love”, and “Testure.”  I don’t know really why I like industrial music, but I do think you can create music out of noise, and random sounds.  Other stuff I’ve been listening to is Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Solemn Novena, Metallica, Magazine, Delain, Peter Murphy,  Madeth Gray’ll (I know random V-Kei band thrown in there…lol), and a few other artists.

Hello everyone!  I’d intended to update sooner, but I had a busy week last week.  I worked an extra day last week and got a bit over overtime + holiday pay.  I’m looking forward to my upcoming payday!  Hopefully my job doesn't try to take away our overtime again because they did that constantly last year. L

Anyways, I had sort of a girl’s day out with my sister last week since she was on vacation.  She called me that morning, and we decided to meet at her apartment downtown.  She lives in a loft in downtown Dallas, and she’d recently moved so I couldn’t remember how to get there.  I ended up taking the wrong exit, and she had to guide me back to her apartment.  Anyone who knows me knows I hate getting lost, and it’s actually one of my biggest fears.  When we finally met up she took me to a swanky pizza place in Deem Ellum. Deep Ellum is sort of like the really artistic and lively place here in Dallas.  It’s where most of the bands that play shows here come and play.  There are a lot of clubs, and tattoo parlors, and interesting shops.  Now back to the pizza shop, they had really fucking huge pizzas…like really huge.  The pizza slices were so big that they filled up an entire pizza dish.  Needless to say I couldn't eat the whole thing, but here’s a pic so you can drool.  It was really delicious, and I’m definitely going back when I can.

This week went by quicker than I expected. I was restless this past Friday night and couldn't go to sleep for some reason. I thought it was the TV keeping me awake so I turned the volume down, but that didn't work. I turned off all the lights, and that didn't work. I ended up finally falling asleep eventually, but I don't remember when that was...lol. I was having some type of insomnia moment going on or something.

My friend finally sent me my Christmas presents! Now according to her this isn't everything, but the CD is the main thing I asked for. I'd been meaning to get that Lacuna Coil album, but never did. The Egyptian ankh ring was something she decided to for me on her own, and I love it! I have an ankh necklace so it will go great with that.  She also bought me a necklace that I received to today, but I didn't take any pics of it so it's not in this picture.

My other friend and I had a talk yesterday over the phone because of a minor misunderstanding on my part.  I've been feeling like she's been avoiding me lately, but in reality it's been her job that's been taking up most of her time.  They've been giving her a hard time so she hasn't really had time to do anything else.  She told me that she would try to go with me to either the concert, or Akon this year or possibly both, but she would have to talk to her supervisor and she what happens.  I hope she can go with me to the Lacuna Coil concert, because while I could go with my niece, who has agreed to go with me, she doesn't like rock music at all so I don't know how she will do at a metal concert...lol.

Last week was the season finale for American Horror Story: The Coven, and I was a little sad since Lily Rabe's character dies. I liked seeing her dancing to random Fleetwood Mac songs...lol. Anyway overall I thought the ending was okay. Although I think Fiona's hell should have been worse. Since I don't think anybody on my flist has watched it I'll just leave it at that.

As for kdramas I've been watching "Inspiring Generation" and I've finally made it to episode 6, and all I can say is wow.  Kim Hyun Joong's acting has improved tremendously since his last two dramas.  Even the k-netizens think so which is a huge since they usually bash him for his acting.  That crying scene in episode 5 really pulled at my heart strings.  I felt so broken-hearted for his character Shin Jung Tae, because it seems he's had a difficult life even now as an adult.  He seems like a broken man after what happened to his sister, although I'm still uncertain if she's actually dead or not.  idk, but I'll continue watching to see what happens.

As for music I've been listening to a bunch of different stuff such as: Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Siouxsie and The Banshees, Hyorin's (Sistar) solo stuff, Oceana, Sparta, The Creatures, Mogwai, Fleetwood Mac, Dragon Ash, Lacuna Coil, Circa Survive, Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, and Within Temptation. Speaking of Withing Temptation I absolutely love their new album "Hydra"! It's becoming one of my favorite albums of this year so far! I'd previously tried to listen to them, but wasn't too impressed with their older music. I really dig this new album a lot. I've been on a bit of a Lana Del Rey kick for some reason. I blame this band I follow on twitter for tweeting the lyrics to "Radio" on my timeline xD!

Speaking of new releases let's talk about the new B.A.P video for "1004 (Angel)"! I really like the choreography for this one!  ......don't do it himchan D:  )
