I guess I'm the opposite way. I hate holidays at someone else's place. Because at least if it's your own home you can find places to hide or go to your room and not be super bothered. At a relatives place there is no escape. It's probably different for me though because I get truly stuck because I have to wait for thee family I ride with to want to leave.
