Happy belated Valentines Day & other things

Happy belated Valentines day to you all.  Last week was good.  Last Wednesday my family took my grandmother out to eat for her birthday.  We had a great time, and it felt wonderful spending time with my family again.  It was just a few of us, but my grandmother felt loved on her birthday. :)

I got a few things I ordered last week, and I'll post pics of everything once it all comes.  It's mostly music, a dvd, and some clothes.  I got pretty good deals on everything so I was happy about that.

My mom really wants to see "50 Shades of Gray" at the movies, but I kept telling her that I don't really want to see it.  I'll probably go just to appease her, but if she can get someone else to go then I'll be glad....lol.  I just don't want to see a film that romanticizes abusive behavior.  That's not my thing at all.  Also I've heard that the movie is really terrible anyway.  My mom did admit after she re-read some of the book that she could understand why I felt the way I did.  We did get into an argument about it though because she thought I was just bashing the book.  I told her she was being biased because she liked it, and that's how the argument started.  It wasn't a major argument, but I was surprised how defensive she was over that book.  >_>;;

Apparently Kim Hyun joong is releasing an album in Japan, and doing a tour.  What a douche.  I mean you'd think he would feel shame for everything he's done, but no.  I would say he should stay in Japan for good, but I wouldn't wish that on the residents of Japan or anyone for that matter.  Also I thought he was supposed to do his military service.  Either way I can't believe how shameless he is about this whole thing.  Actually I'm more appalled at the amount of delusional fangirls that keep defending him, and what he did.  It makes me sick to my stomach. :(

I've started watching the show Penny Dreadful, and I have to say it's pretty good.  I'm still only in the earlier episodes, but the characters are interesting, and I'm enjoying seeing how the show develops.  Another show I've been watching is Empire.  I started watching it when it first came on, and it's really interesting too.  To see the 3 brothers fighting over their fathers empire is crazy.  I feel especially sorry for the son who was sort of cast out because he's gay.  The fact that his father doesn't want anything to do with him is really terrible, but it's something that I'm sure happens quite often.  Taraji P Henson's character is probably my favorite because she doesn't take any shit from any of them.  Anyway it's a good show.  I've also been watching Sleepy Hollow, and oh man it's getting crazy.  I can't wait to watch the episode that comes on tonight.  I need to catch up on a few more shows, but I feel like I can get into more shows this year.

As for music I've been listening to a lot of 80's stuff.  I've mostly been listening to stuff like: Pat Benatar, Tears for Fears, Kate Bush, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Runaways, and The Doors.  Like I said mostly older music.  I have to mention that Kate Bush's album "The Dreaming" is everything!  I love it so much that I've considered looking for it on vinyl.  It's a fantastic pop record.  As for Tears for Fears I've been listening to their album "The Hurting" lately.  As for The Cure it's mostly been "Seventeen Seconds", "Faith", and "Three Imaginary Boys".  I love classic Cure music from the 70's because it has a really nice feel to it.  On that note here's one of my favorite Cure songs "Charlotte Sometimes."
