just a few quick updates

 I figured I'd just post a few quick updates about what's been going on with me.  

• Well this Friday turned out better than I anticipated.  I ended up getting my tax refund today, and I also got my paycheck.  Woohoo!  My main goal is to save some money, and pay my credit card down a bit.  I bought everyone dinner tonight as well so my folks are happy about that xD!  

• The medication is working very well.  It feels good not stressing, and worrying about everything. 

• Today at work I wore my new timberland boots I got from my mom for Christmas, and I got a lot of compliments about them.  They are a bit heavy, but I just need to break them in.  I'm actually not someone who wears boots a lot mainly because I've had problems with my feet in the past, and I don't like heavy shoes. 

• I've been making great progress on teaching myself guitar.  I'm in the process of learning more difficult songs, and mainly trying to work on my speed, and overall technique.  It's a different mindset than playing bass so I sort of have to switch gears so to speak.  I'm currently trying to learn "Ziggy Stardust" by David Bowie.  

• This week I started working on a portrait of myself, and my sisters that my mom wanted me to draw.  It's in charcoal pencil, and right now it's in the early stages.  I haven't done many projects since I graduated college, but now I feel like I'm in a place where I want to do more artwork for myself.  

• I'm looking forward to seeing Deadpool when it comes out!  I started reading the comic about a month or so ago, and I really enjoy it a lot.  I've seen the trailer for the movie, and it looks hilarious.  

• I've been watching the new X-Files, and loving it.  Last week's episode was pretty random, and amusing.  I also want to check out that show Lucifer after watching the preview for it.  I think I might check it out on Hulu.
