2014 is almost here~
Dec. 31st, 2013 03:39 pmThis week has been somewhat crazy, but luckily everything turned out to be okay. My mom broke a tooth, and had it removed yesterday. She had an infection so the doctors fussed at her for waiting to come in, as did me and my dad, but the procedure turned out ok. She’s at home now, and at the moment sleeping since she took her medicine. I've been doing everything around the house since she’s been sick. I’ve been to the store twice this week much to my dismay. I hate going to the grocery store because I either A: Always forget something, B: I have to make a list because if I don’t I will most definitely forget something, C: they don’t put something in the bag and since I’m absent minded I always miss it. Needless to say I hate going to the grocery store, but I managed okay. The lady did forget to put my toothpaste in the bag though despite me paying for it. >_>;
I managed to cook a meal that I've never cooked before thanks to my mom writing down the recipe for me. I think I just screwed up on one step which caused the chicken chili I made to be somewhat bland, but my dad being the trooper he is didn't complain or say anything about it. I knew it was bland because I tasted it but I was so stressed at the point from not knowing wtf I was doing I was like “Well it taste editable so It’ll do.” I’m not a bad cook I’m just limited in how many things I've made, or know how to make. My best friend always likes to brag that she knows how to make all these different dishes but personally I don’t think she’s that good of a cook (opp). I can’t help it I’m brutally honest. And I always used to think that whenever I would be at her place, but of course I would never tell her that.
Anyway here are a few of my Christmas gifts. I’m not posting everything, but these are the main gifts. It’s mostly clothes, jackets, shoes. I didn't include the things I bought myself...lol.
( gifts in here... )
I came across an article recently about Kyo from Dir en grey having a side project band called Sukekiyo. I was very surprised because I never would have expected him to do music outside of Dir en grey, but apparently they opened for Sugizo at some sort of festival thing. Kyo claimed that the music style was ambient/folk with ethnic influences but I don’t know if that’s the vibe I get when I listen to it. Sure it’s somewhat ambient, but I don’t hear the folk part that much. This song is nice, but it’s nothing really remarkable. I like that he’s actually singing instead of growling/screaming/screeching or whatever it is he does in Dir en grey. This video will be available for purchase on iTunes worldwide January 1st.
