TV Shows, Anime, and other things
Jan. 22nd, 2014 02:53 pmLast week was actually peaceful, and not too bad for a change. I finally got the chance to check out Kim Hyun Joong’s new drama “Inspiring Age”, and I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes a lot! The guy playing the younger Shin Jung Tae really does look just like Hyun Joong, down to his pissed off expression when he’s fighting. They really outdid themselves by picking him for the role because he fits it perfectly. I’m really looking forward to this week’s episode(s).
Speaking of shows I just watched the season finale for Sleepy Hollow and Oh My God! I was not expecting it to end like that! And I have to wait until the fall before it resumes the new season. I don’t know what I’ll do with my Mondays now…lol.
I was browsing Netflix the other day and decided to watch the anime “Attack On Titan”, and boy do I regret it. To say it was disturbing is putting it lightly. I couldn't make it through episode 2 due to people being eaten by giant ‘Titans’ and what not. The plot was a little too disturbing even for me, and I can usually take disturbing things.
I bought these jeans that have one leg red, and the other black and I wore them to work the other day. Needless to say I got a lot of attention. One guy literally did a 360 as he watched me walk past him…lol. Despite how I dress sometimes I’m still not used to a lot of attention. I think it’s safe to say that I don’t like attention. On a side note I will say that whatever I do though I do it for myself, and not for anyone else. I dress the way I do because it makes me happy. I've decided that it’s ridiculous to depend on others for my happiness. In fact I’ve decided that I will not depend on others for my happiness. I need to think about making myself happy. I can afford to be selfish at this point in my life.
As for music I’ve been trying to get into some newer hardcore bands. Anyone that knows me personally knows that when I was a teenager up until my early twenties I used to listen to a ton of hardcore music. You could say that’s how I got into post-punk music actually since hardcore is a form of punk. These days I do still prefer post-punk to hardcore due to my love for rumbling bass-lines, and apathetic singing styles as opposed to screaming, and fast driven songs that hardcore brings to the table. The bands I've been listening to are: Oceana, La Dispute, Balance And Composure, Touche Amore, Thrice, Embrace, Crossfaith, and Defeater. As for some other bands/artists that aren't necessarily hardcore I’ve been listening to I’ve been listening to Within Temptation (their new album is awesome!!!), Swans, Warpaint, Christian Death, Coil, Husker Du, SuiseiNoboAz, Galileo Galilei, Pity Sex, and Little Nemo to name a few.
