Somehow I've caught a cold

     The whole thing started about 3 or 4 days ago when I noticed that I woke up with a sore throat.  That was not fun at all, and I couldn't figure out what was going on since I wasn't coughing, or sneezing the first day.  The second day the coughing started, and I began taking cold meds to alleviate the pain, and overall discomfort that comes with being sick.  I drank some tea for cold, and flu the same night I noticed my sore throat, and despite how great it tasted (apple/cinnamon flavored) it didn't do a damn thing for my sore throat.  Needless to say my dad stopped by the store and picked up some tea that was a bit stronger, and tasted horrible.  I didn't care as long as it made me better.  Now a few days later here I am with a full blown cold sniffling, coughing, and all that horribleness.  So this morning I called in sick for work, and figured I would try to rest today.  I figured it wasn't the flu cause I'm not having body aches.  I just feel an overall stuffiness in my head, throat, and chest area.  My coworker commented that she knew someone who had similar issues and she ended up having walking pneumonia which sort of scared me a bit.  My mom mentioned that if I had that then I would definitely know it, and told me not to worry.  

     Aside from being sick I ordered the new Deftones album "Gore" yesterday from best buy.  I think it's kind of sad that there's really no where to buy new CD's anymore like in the past when there were record stores, and what not.  Those days are long gone, and it makes me very sad.  There are  few places I can pick up CDs like department stores, but it's just not the same.  I remember meeting really interesting people, and having long conversations about music in record stores in the 90's.  

I'm going to catch up on commenting on people's entries.  I haven't been the most active person on any of my journal platforms.  I've been sick off and on for a few weeks, and I haven't really been commenting on peoples entries like I should be.  I will improve with that I promise. 

    Also on a side noteapparently they killed off Nicole Beharie off Sleepy Hollow?  What the hell are the writers thinking?!?  She's the main character, and it just doesn't make sense.  Either way I haven't really watched the show since the very beginning of this season, and I'm glad I had the foresight to stop watching it.  What a mess.

I hear you on the record stores. I used to go to this awesome used records store and browsed stuff and listened into some CDs and always came out with three to five new (old) CDs. The shop closed down a while ago, though.

Yeah, I'm not even trying to catch up. Been absent a lot, too, and when I posted it was all about the flat, because that's pretty much all I could think about. It's slowly getting better...

I know what you mean about CD's and Record Stores. I'd always get new recs from the employees. I do have a used CD store by me but god they charge outrageous prices. I'd like to collect records, but yeah no where here sells those.

I saw that about SH. It's been a crap week/month for shows killing off characters in the worst possible ways. I think the worst part was is they made Nicole Beharie's char in the shittiest way and made her a prop for Ichabod.

I miss record stores so much. I remember talking for hours with some of the employees are record stores about music. The only way I can find records around here is the used book store near me, and online. It sucks big time.

I heard it's been pretty bad with shows killing off characters. I hate how they did Nicole Beharie's character. They really did make her a prop for Icabod, and it's horrible. I hope that her career blossoms after this, and she can find steady work.

I don't really trust used cd stores because the last time I got from them it wouldn't play and they wouldn't refund me. That's kinda why I do like streaming music, but I feel like electronic media doesn't have a good enough model so both sides (physical and digital sales) are both suffering. But I really feel like this on the book level. I'm going to die inside when physical books disappear.

Yeah it started with the 100, then went to arrow, now SH. Actually Pretty Little Liars did something just as offensive a few months ago. Nothing will take the prize winner place from Boardwalk Empire, that female lesbian death fucked me up. Yeah, from what I heard she wanted out so good for her. She was too talented for that show anyways.
