Well Sunday was a trainwreck
Hey guys,
This past Sunday ended up being somewhat hectic for me. My niece asked my mom, and I to go out to eat with her for her birthday, and we had a good time.
After we came home my dad informed my mom that she needed to take him through emergency. Apparently he'd been peeing blood, and had been since yesterday and just never said anything. So my mom took him through emergency, and he's currently being treated. They're going to let him come home today, but he has to have surgery so this won't happen again. I'm just glad she managed to get him to the hospital in time. I've been pretty much on my own for the past couple of days. My mom ended up staying at the hospital with my dad so I've been taking care of things around the house.
On a lighter note I'm thinking about getting a 2DS XL pretty soon. This is the one I'm getting since I'm a huge Zelda fan, and I love the design of the Hylian shield. I've been wanting one for a while, and I'm now I'll be able to get it. I mainly wanted one to play a bunch of the classic Nintendo stuff in one little continent handheld device. I have a Switch, but since Nintendo stated they won't be doing the Virtual Console I figured I would get a 2DS XL to play classic Nintendo titles.
Also I applied to Id Software (which is under Bethesda Softworks), for an animation position last week. They posted they were hiring, and I jumped on it the next day. The studio is in Richardson, which isn't too far from where I live. Wish me luck guys! I didn't plan on applying to a video game industry job, but it's a great opportunity, and I love video games. I'm also a huge fan of that studio, and a lot of their titles so I figured why not at least try. If I don't get it I won't be too disappointed. It's a very competitive industry, and there are so many talented people applying for these jobs. Well, that's all for now.

That 2DS looks really cool! I have a Pokemon Sun & Moon themed 3DS and I always get compliments on it haha.
Wow, I hope you get an interview and tour too! I'm just learning about the different game companies but am definitely familiar with Bethesda and id. How awesome that it's close to you!

I really wanted that 2DS, but after fighting with Gamestop's website for a bit because they wouldn't let me order it I just ended up ordering this one from Target's website, along with that same Zelda game. I ended up paying the same price which was cool. I'm just glad to be able to play my favorite classic nintendo titles on one handheld system.
I hope I get an interview too. I would love to work at ID, and do animation for games. :D
