This week was really tiring. I didn't get much sleep for the past 2 days so my sleep schedule is really off. I now have the sleep schedule of a vampire...lol. I plan on getting it back to normal within the next few days. Like today I got off work early, and after I got settled, and ate lunch, I crashed and didn't wake up until around 7pm. So needless to say I will be up all night tonight, but that's fine. I can always catch up on my reading. :)
I want to mention that despite how I used to feel about Dir en grey in the past I think they're one of those bands that I will always respect because of what they did for the Visual Kei scene. It would be foolish not admit their influence on today's current bands in the scene. Also they're music was a huge influence on me artistically, as well as just musically. I think seeing them live back in 2006-2008 helped solidify why I enjoyed their music so much. They've really grown as a band despite me not liking everything they've done currently. I think getting into more dark alternative music helped me appreciate their music a bit more than I did in the past. They're one of those bands that I will always enjoy. I just wanted to post that because they're coming out with a new album in December, and I will probably buy it xD! I've bought all their albums up to this point anyway.
My mom wants to go to the movies this week to see "No Good Deeds", and I'm interested in the plot so I'll probably go see it with her. I really like Idris Elba as an actor, and he always nails his roles so I'm excited to see him in this movie.
Speaking of watching movies I managed to watch the first episode of the new Ghost In The Shell: Arise show, and It's really interesting. I'm not sure when these actual events on the show take place, but apparently she's younger so I'm assuming it's an alternate universe from the original GITS entirely. It's really good from what I've seen so far. The animation for the fight scenes are excellent.

As for music I've been listening to a lot of heavier genres of music like: Atmospheric Black Metal, Doom Metal, and various other genres that might be a bit weird to my lj friends...lol. The last K-pop release I listened to was Park Jungmin's "Summer Break", and I enjoyed it. I haven't really listened to any other new K-pop besides his mini, and the new BTS album. I don't really have much enthusiasm for K-pop as much as I used to in the past. I feel myself slowly drifting away from it. I do think I'll always like some of the music, but I don't consider myself apart of the fandom anymore. I think all the drama this year just made me want to reconsider why I was even apart of the fandom in the first place.
Due to my love of K-pop weining a bit, I've been re-listening to some older artists I used to listen to in the past. Some of the main one's are: Dir en grey, Miyavi, Atreyu, The Gazette, Mucc, and Asian Kung Fu Generation. A few other artists I've been listening to are: Katatonia, Sleep White Winter, Contre Jour, This Ascension, Coldworld, Altar of Plagues, Autumn's Grey Solace, Boris, Delain, and Paradise Lost to name a few. I want to post some pics of my record collection so far, and some new music I've recently purchased so I think I'll do that in the next post.
