I finally received my pre-ordered copy of Super Mario Odyssey for the Switch this past Friday. I played it a bit, and my cousin showed up with her kids, and I let her sons play 2 player mode with the joycons. They had a complete blast, and actually got further than I did when I was playing it. I called in sick to work today because I'm feeling sick, and under the weather so I decided that I would make a day of playing it today. :)

My dad just informed me this morning that he bought me a blue acoustic guitar for Christmas! I'm pretty excited to get it since I've been lowkey wanting an acoustic guitar since I started playing guitar. It would be perfect to practice on during the day since it's an acoustic. My mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I've been trying to decide. I think I want a decent gaming chair with back support so I could have something comfortable to sit in while I'm playing games or doing whatever.

Halloween is coming up, and I'm excited since I'll be off work this time. I don't really dress up or anything, but I love to have a marathon of horror movies on that day. I also might make a special post of some of my favorite albums to listen to on Halloween since my record collection has grown quite a bit. It will consist of Christian Death, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees to name a few.

Also anyone listened to the new Epik High album yet? It's fantastic, and really reminds me of their old stuff. It's a lot more somber than the last album. I do like it a lot more than Shoebox, and I enjoyed Shoebox quite a bit. I'll probably be picking up a physical copy when I can. Here's a video of one of the songs.Home is far away... )

(The craft is one of my favorite movies btw.)

I want to wish everyone a Happy Halloween if you celebrate it!

I took my damaged tire, and rim to the tire place this morning, and they said they would be able to fix the rim, as well as replace the tire.  It was expensive, but I expected it so I transfered some money from my savings account beforehand.  It's an expensive lesson as my dad put it.  I do need to be more careful when I'm turning corners.  Either way I'm glad I was able to get that taking care of this morning.

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night after having a really bizarre dream.  I didn't want to go back to sleep right away so I started flipping channels and ended up watching "Pet Sematary".  It was pretty scary, and good.  I will say the guy in that movie was an idiot cause he kept burying his family members on sacred Indian burial ground.  You'd think after the first incident he would have learned, but nope.  I just realized the movie is actually on youtube right now if any of you are interested in checking it out.  It is scary, and in involves small children so if that disturbs you then you should probably steer clear.  Now I'm going to search for some more horror movies on hulu, and netflix.  I hope you all have a great day. :)

This week has been somewhat stressful. I got a flat tire yesterday morning, and now I have to go buy a new tire cause it's pretty much ruined. It was early in the morning, and I was driving to work but I guess I wasn't really paying attention and I hit a curve. I damaged one of the rims on my car a little, but I'm going tomorrow to the tire place to price a new tire, and see if they can fix the rim. Either way I'm more frustrated with myself than anything cause my car is new, and why the hell was I not paying attention?!? Anyway when you're an adult fuckups cost money so yeah. I'm willing to pay the price for this situation.

As for other things I bought 2 things from the sale Killstar is having for Halloween. I ordered this necklace, and these fingerless gloves. I also got my order that I ordered the other day of a Siouxsie and the Banshees backpatch I ordered for my denim vest. I still need to sew it on along with a Birthday Massacre patch I ordered a while back. I'll be sure to post pictures whenever I finish the vest. I still have a few things I need to add to it.

That aside everything's been okay. Halloween is tomorrow, and I don't really have any plans besides getting cozy in my room and watching a few horror movies. I ordered a Five Nights at Freddy's figurine set for my friend for her Christmas gift. She's a huge fan of the series so I figured it would be a perfect gift. Speaking of early Christmas gifts my friend bought me this book on hardback, and it looks super cool. It's "American Gods", and "Anasi Boys" by Neil Gaimen. My friend is an avid reader like myself so this was an awesome early Xmas present from her. :D

I wish I could say I had an enjoyable Halloween, but I did not.  Apparently everything that could have went wrong went wrong that day.  Mind you it was nothing major but still.  I arrived at work that day, and I sat my coffee down only for it to spill all over the floor.  So in other words I was a zombie the entire day because I didn't have my coffee.  Later on while I was working someone called my name so I swung around in my chair not noticing the chord to my headphones was tangled in my chair then I heard something hit the floor.  It was my CD Player (since we're not allowed mp3 players I've been using an old CD player I've had for a while), and nothing was noticeably wrong with it so I picked it up and pressed play....and nothing happened.  I pressed play again, nothing happened.  So needless to say I broke it.  The coworker that called my name whispered a sheepish "I'm sorry" as soon as she realized it was broken.  Not that I blamed her anyway, but I was just ready to throw my hands up at that point because I was having such a horrible day.  Also I had to work late...ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT...but whatever.  That's the breaks I guess.

On a lighter note I've been listening to a lot of mellow music lately.  Mostly of the shoegazing persuasion.  I hadn't listened to My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" album in a good while so I decided to give it a listen again for old times sake.  That album is simply amazing, and it will never get old to me.  Other than that I've been listening to The Velvet Underground (RIP Lou Reed), Touché Amoré, Yura Yura Teikoku, Low, Mazzy Star, Swans, and M.I.A.  The new MIA album "Matangi" ended up being better than I expected.  The beats on that album are so sick that I was literally dancing in my bed when I was listening to it...lol.

On a strange note I had a dream about the Brown Eyed Girls this morning and I have no idea why, or what it was about.  I just knew I had the strange urge to listen to their music when I got up this morning...lol.  It was very strange indeed.  BEG are a really good group, but I have no idea why I would dream about them.  It was very bizarre.

Also while I'm still talking about music I decided to listen to a Japanese jazz/punk band called Midori.  Oh boy...do I regret it.  The singer was literally yelling at me.  Also the music was a mixture of Jazz, and Punk which worked out okay, but the vocals....I can't with the vocals.  I saw comments everywhere talking about amazing this band was, and after listening to them I wondered if these people liked to torture their ears or what.  I had a similar problem I had when I tried to listen to Melt Banana in the past.  I just can't do that to myself again...lol.
