This week was really exhausting, but I got through it. I still haven't heard anything about the promotion yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out.

I was finally able to talk to the insurance company of the lady who hit me in that bad accident last month. Yes they're just now getting in touch with me after all this time. Apparently they're a really small insurance company, and it sounds like they were trying to avoid filing a claim since she was the one who rear-ended me. Anyway I gave my statement to the guy today. I had a hard time understand half of his questions because he had a heavy southern accent or something...lol. My anxiety almost go the best of me, but I got slightly annoyed with some of his questions so I responded in sort of a pissed off/let's get this over with sort of manner. I'm just glad I got it over with to be honest. Now they need to send me my check...lmao. I had to buy a new car like a week after my accident, because after I sold the totaled car to my insurance company they wanted me to to return the rental.

I had to go to work this morning, and do some mandatory overtime today. I didn't really mind to much cause ya know extra money is always good, and I do have this car note to pay now. Speaking of the car I finally received my payout from the insurance company for my damaged car. I decided to start off right, and open up a savings account at the bank, and put a bit of it in the savings. It feels good to finally be in a position to be able to save some money.

Also some good news (hopefully.) My sister is a supervisor at the place I work at, and she was telling me that a couple of people in management are talking about promoting me! I applied for the position this past weekend, and hopefully I'll be able to do an interview, and actually get promoted. I hope everything works out because it's a lot more money than what I'm making right now. It's good to see that all my hard work is paying off.

Also I've been trying to catch up on commenting. I've been trying to comment on as many posts as I can with something relevant. I do read everybody's entries, but I don't always get the chance to comment. I think this week has been hectic because I just came back from out of town, and work usually tires me out.

As far as other stuff goes I've been shopping. I bought this really cool antique looking lamp to go in my room, because I felt like I didn't get enough light in my room. It's really cool, and the light is a lot brighter than I expected it to be. I also bought 2 new figures. I bought a Yukito (Card Captor Sakura) mini nenodroid figure, and a Goku figure. My last figure that I thought was Goku was actually his dad Bardock. My friend pointed it out to me when we were out of town after I showed her the pictures. Everyone in that family looks so much alike that I guess I couldn't tell them apart xD! Anyway now I have a Goku figure that I've ordered from Banpresto. Oh I also have a really tiny Gundam figure I got in my loot crate. If you don't know what loot crate its here's a link to the site. My friend told me about it one day over the phone. The anime loot crates are pretty awesome.

As for music I've been listening to a lot of different stuff. Kate Bush, Garbage, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Katatonia, Deftones, Chelsea Wolfe, PVRIS, and a bunch of other stuff that escapes me at the moment. That's all for now.

The new Radiohead album Is amazing! It's just the thing I needed to hear after a long day at work. Here's the MV for "Burn the Witch." Radiohead is a band that I've loved for a long time. My favorite albums by them are "The Bends", "Hail to the Thief", and "Ok Computer." As for the new album "A Moon Shaped Pool", I might try to hunt down a vinyl copy. This is an album that would be good to relax to.

My day was kind of meh. I have to do some overtime on Wednesday, which I'm not crazy about but at least it's more money. Since I'm usually off on that day I'll probably just keep to myself most of the day. I usually keep to myself anyway which keeps me out of drama overall. Also people at my job can be really iffy so I tend to watch what I tell people.

I'm getting 2 new tires for my car this week. Yay for new tires. I need them badly, and I keep putting it off so I'm finally going to just do it.

Also it's Mother's Day so Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful, caring, and loving mom. She's my best friend in the world honestly, and she's really been there for me when I needed her the most. Last year was a really difficult time for my entire family so I'm just grateful to have such a wonderful mother. <3

I bought her some new PJ's, and a nice card. She really liked the card, which made me happy. :)

Now I'm getting ready for "Game of Thrones" to come on, and hoping for the best since last weeks episode was a step in the right direction.

This past week was okay. It was a struggle going back to work after vacation, because it always seems like they bombard you with work after you come back. Either way I manged to get through it with lots of coffee, coca cola, and sweets. I should mention that I'm not a morning person at all. I also don't usually eat a lot of sweets, but if I'm running on just a few hours of sleep then I'll eat sweets to try to keep myself awake.( Read more... )
