i'm only happy when it rains

 This morning I woke up, and it was raining a lot.  The weather report said it would be raining most of the day today so I'm probably going to stay in today.  My grandmother had a minor procedure done today, and I hope that goes well.  

Today is actually my parent's anniversary.  They've been married about 31 years.  I'm glad my parents were able to stay together as long as they have.  They've been through some very rough patches, but they managed to work it out.  My mom told me that they're going to celebrate over the weekend by going out of town.  She mentioned it would depend on the weather as to if they would go or not.  My dad left my mom a card on the counter this morning so I'm glad he remembered.  Usually he forgets important holidays, and ends up paying for it lol.  

As for me I've been practicing my guitar playing, and bass more often.  I've been neglecting them lately so I figured I would practice a few songs I've been learning at the moment.  I also started the portrait drawing of my sisters, and myself that I've been meaning to get started on.  It's turning out really good so far.  I decided to draw it on gray paper because I've always liked drawing on colored drawing paper.

I'm tired of all the snow

Last week it snowed almost every day. It's crazy for Texas weather, but the weather here is also very unpredictable. I would have taken pictures, but I never got around to it. When I went outside to get the mail one day I almost slipped and fell...lol. I'm a very clumsy person, but I've gotten less so over the years.


This morning around 3 am it started snowing. We got around 3 inches of snow in my city, and in some parts they got 6 inches. That's quite a bit of snow for Texas weather considering the last few winters weren't really winter. Since I had to be at work at 6 am this morning, and the roads were terrible I decided to stay in, and enjoy the day off.

     I woke up this morning to snow, and ice. The news has been predicting that we would get a bit of ice by Monday of this week. I'm so glad that I'm off work because I hate driving in the ice. Many people here can't even drive in the rain let alone the ice. I would take pictures outside of the weather but I'm in my PJs, and I'm too lazy to put on a coat and go outside xD!      I also pulled out my bass guitar the other day. I felt like I'd been neglecting playing it so I played a few songs. I felt good to hold the guitar in my hands again. I recently purchase a new practice amplifier for my bass. I was surprised at how loud, and good it sounded for being a somewhat small amp. That was my goal when I bought it though so I think it worked out.  I'll probably have another post this week updating on a few TV shows I've been watching.

 This week was long for some reason.  I finally purchased the tickets for the Lacuna Coil concert last week, and I’m really excited about going!  I still haven’t confirmed if my friend is going, but either way I’ll be going so I’m excited none-the less.

I watched episode of  the anime “Welcome to NHK” yesterday, and so far I like it.  I've only watched one episode so it’s too early to tell if it will be one I really like, but it seems pretty good so far.  The story is about a guy who’s a hikikomori of 3 or 4 years, and hasn't left his apartment.  He also buys into a bunch of conspiracy theories, which lead him to have a colorful imagination if you will.  He meets a girl that comes to his door with her grandmother, and she vows to get him out the house, and out of his hikikomori state.  Overall it’s interesting.

Today I went to the store with my mom, and it was really really cold.  I just took a light jacket but ended up regretting that immensely once I stepped outside.  I also realized that I needed a new beanie because I've been wearing the same one mostly for a couple of years, and I just need to get a new one.  I ended up ordering a new one today actually. As for the weather it's supposed to snow tomorrow, and luckily for me I am off work so I'll get to spend the day staying warm.  Last week it snowed Thursday during the day when I was at work, and that was slightly annoying considering I had to drive home in it.  There was a really bad accident on the freeway, and I had to take a detour.  Who knows how long I would have had to sit there if I hadn't gotten off the freeway.  People around here don't drive very well so they usually have accidents.  When the weather is bad there seems to be a lot of really shitty drivers for some reason.  To be fair though these people can't even drive in the nice weather let alone bat weather...lol.  

On the fandom front I just want to share this adorable picture of Jungmin, Hyung Jun, and Kyujong from Hyungjun's recent fanmeet.  Double S Feels~  I can't wait until Kyujong gets out the military this year!

As far as music goes I've been listening to a ton of Gothic Rock stuff.  Here’s my last.fm from last week.  Can I also mention that I've been obsessed with the band Flowing Tears since I first heard their first few albums.  Helen Vogt's voice is heavenly, and perfect for gothic metal. It's too bad they've been broken up since 2008 because they were really awesome.  That woman's voice is phenomenal, seriously....

 I also managed to find the 2nd season of American Horror Story “Asylum” on dvd for about $10 which was a great deal!  I couldn't believe it was so cheap, so I snagged the last one…lol.  Asylum has always been my favorite season of American Horror Story because I felt like the plot was the most developed in that one, and the character development more well thought out.  Jessica Lange delivers in this one as she plays a somewhat troubled Nun who is head over the Bryercliff Manor Asylum.  If I were to recommend any season of American Horror Story it would be Season 2, and Season 1 for sure.  Anyways that's all I have for today.  I'll update about the snow, and maybe take some pics if we get enough of it.  I love taking pictures of the snow. :3
